metacognitive skills

Welcome to Truth, Beauty, Meaning! I’m Heather Birt – a lifelong lucid dreamer, autodidact, postmodern humanist, and a person who is inevitably asked, “Are you always so deep?” Yes – yes, I am (unless it’s pizza Friday and we’re dual-wielding our way through vampire-filled caves in the mountains of Skyrim).

This space is for innately curious, unusually intelligent, and highly imaginative lifelong learners passionate about personal expansion. I share my methods for self-led study, reading and writing for self-discovery, and spelunking the unconscious mind. You’ll find me using my metacognitive frameworks, including Life Experiments with the Semi-Scientific Method, the Digital Wellness Experiment series, Literature Dips, and the Waking Dream Rituals.

Literature dips provide fuel for reflection and help you craft powerful, intentional narratives around life’s challenges. Let the work of brilliant authors illuminate the liminal space between awareness and the shadow of the unconscious through playful bibliomancy.
